Upsher-Smith Laboratories, Minneapolis, MN, has introduced PreNexa, a single gel capsule prenatal vitamin for pregnant women, new mothers who are breastfeeding and women considering pregnancy. The product contains 265 mg DHA from the branded vegetarian ingredient life’sDHA, as well as folic acid (1.2 mg), vitamin C (25 mg), vitamin D3 (170 IU), vitamin E (30 IU), iron (30 mg), calcium (160 mg) and vitamin B6 (25 mg). It also contains a gentle stool softener known as docusate sodium.
